BAY FM 99.9 FM : The Voice of the Community
One of the Bay FM's sweetest voices, Nancy Jo says: "It's
the voice of the community, it allows all the community to
voice how they feel and what they are doing, giving our community
groups a central point.
Any community group can come on, and there are plenty of
them. We look after everybody, from the clubs to the most
far out workshoppers. That's what our service is.
Sometimes people are lonely...there
is the radio.
We are there to entertain, inform and to educate and to
be there as a friend, and a companion. Sometimes people are
lonely and they have the radio.
With a grant from the Community Broadcasting Foundation
for a satellite receiver service we can now access programs
from anywhere on the Community Broadcasting sector and also
send out programs. We can download news services such as the
BBC or our own Community Broadcast news form Sydney. With
the dish we are on line to the world!
