Quote:
A BYRON Bay Greens councillor is seeing red after billionaire businessman Gerry Harvey told him he needs "a good bath and a makeover" in an escalating row over a $45 million luxury resort just opened by Mr Harvey in the northern NSW town.

Barefoot, dreadlocked and cheesecloth-wearing John Lazarus said yesterday he was seeking legal advice after an irate Mr Harvey suggested he looked like "a tramp" and was not fit to be a councillor.

Mr Harvey retorted: "If he wants to sue me for helping to improve him, I invite him to sue.

"He looks like he needs a good bath and I've got some people who can . . . give him a makeover.

"This bloke needs to get his act together. How much respect can he get running around in dreadlocks and no shoes and clothes that look like they cost $2? These sort of people shouldn't be on councils."

As not only did get wrong information from a Harvey Noman Staff member but I got different information from different staff members in the same store.

I am just wondering if Mr Harvey really has "got some people who can" . . . give Harvey Norman stores a makeover or do something to improve the stores?

But then again why I would respect someone who throws $45 million onto one resort that wouldn't be improving the feel of Byron Bay.
