Hey all!

I'm really looking forward to coming out to Byron Bay. I've read mixed reviews, but nothing sounds better than getting away from the hussle and bussle of a big city to concentrate on studying music and recording for the next 2 years. Beyond all that, it seems like it's a mutual concensus that no matter what school you go to, it's what *you* put into it (i leave this area of the post up for discussion, as well).

I've done work in recording in the past, but my main passion lies in electronic dance music production and DJing... been DJing for 7 years now and would hate to give it up in Byron!

Any DJs out there into progressive house/trance/electro/psy? Anyone coming out to study music production in that context? While I do want to learn how to record bands and get proper recordings done in a variety of areas, I also would like to learn in-depth about music production software: Logic/Cubase/Ableton/Protools, etc. and how to engineer my own productions and DJ mixes.

Anyone already enrolled in these courses or planning on heading out to study there? I'd love to hear from your personal experiences, daily life, thoughts about the school, etc.!

Cheers...
