Glass artist Colin Heaney designed the roundabout in the main street, which depicts an ocean scene.
The materials were donated and all the work was done by volunteers.
Colin Heaney says he hopes the creation will encourage developers to use local artists.
"To start doing some buildings that are interesting, to start putting some life and thought and artistic energy into Byron, it's so full of artists and artistic energy and there's so little evidence of it," he said. |
