Advice wanted

Hi I'm a dutch student here in Australia(melbourne) for a year but on a break for 3 months in the summer. I would like to work and live in Byron Bay so if anyone knows how I should go by arranging this, I would appreciate some replies very much. I'm looking for something like bartender in a local bar/club but really don't mind doing whatever comes along. I own a car, love kitesurfing and I am a really easy going guy overall. It is for the time between end of November till the end of February. Anybody have tips or advice how to do this or what I absolutely shouldn't do..I look forward to any replies!
