| Hi i want to setup a messageboard on my site, i've done some research for some information about it and i think that it won't be a problem to do it. But while i researched i've noticed that most bbs' are overwhelmed with tremendous amount of spam. So the question is: what measures are to take to avoid it? Any help will be appreciated. |

Quite easy to minimise spam.
Use phpBB or Simple Machines as your message board software.
They (i think phpBB does.. know Simple Machines does) have captcha codes for joining up to the message board.
Which is like a random image of warped letters and text, and the person has to type in them into the box, stops automated sign ups, greatly helps with spam. |
