hey people reading this
further to the message i just posted about employment for japanese speakers- not feeling too hopeful after reading various posts by people desperate for work or looking for it without luck-but any clues or leads on employment in general? as usual i'm looking for whatevers going but have done english teaching, lots and lots of music and writing- i know, not much chance of paid work there...and a bunch of other things like waitering, washing dishes, farming type things, childcare etc etc. was hoping to find some fruit picking work or suchlike- would that mean going to some farm in queensland to work very very hard for very low wages? thats the impression im getting...please let me know otherwise! will arrive in october to stay with my uncle in byron for an indefinite period (depending on if i can find work...) any advice, suggestions etc would be massively appreciated!!!

Hey,
There usually is waitering work available, you just have to be pretty good. I have picked up a bit of work now, you just have to keep at them, keep going around dropping off C.V's and let them know that you are staying around. Be seen, that's what i've learnt! Mid to late September would prob be a better time to get here. Good luck,
